More model informationOnchidium sp.
This sea slug belongs to a group of animals known as Pulmonates, as they lack gills and instead have a vascularized sac (lung) for breathing air. They are distributed along the Indo-Pacific coast and can be found in the intertidal zone on various substrates, including sand, mud, rocks, and mangroves. In addition to the eyes on their cephalic tentacles, they possess small papillae on their dorsal surface that carry photoreceptors.
The model was obtained with a µCT scan.
