Warhammer 40k inspired ‘Bad Moons’ Ork on spear

A relatively quick storytelling inspired piece, trying to create a composition with minimal assets, as well as establish mood.

I used a reference concept from Johan Grenier and then enjoyed adding other assets to give it personal flair. I also really wanted an asymmetrical look on the character to make it stand out compared to other Ork heads I’ve seen.

Pipeline went from Max to Zbrush, to Painter, Designer and then Unreal engine for scene building for the composition. Everything here is created from scratch minus some textures for the ground of the scene.
