Orthostat T1.3, Dowth Hall Passage Tomb (Photo)3D ModelNoAI
Greywacke orthostat located on the boundary between two stalls in the northern chamber of the Dowth Hall Passage Tomb (ME020-098----). Forming the northern side of Stall A, its south face has a natural shelf, below which there is a pecked circle and dot motif, with c.17 dots radiating from it. Above the shelf, there is a series of incised horizontal and radial lines, small circles, and dispersed pecking. Its north face, which forms the southern side of Stall B, has a smooth, polished appearance and multiple vertical striations that are the result of glacial action. Some striations appear to have been deliberately pecked. The north face has five simple pecked motifs, including a circle from which a line extends into the west face. Lower down on the west face, there are three inverted U-motifs.
