Trench 6 at North Duffield was located over some vague anomalies in the geophysical results. These anomalies turned out to be the two ditches visible in the trench, likely of iron age date.

The Ouse and Derwent Project is a three year community project examining the Iron Age landscape in the Vale of York. It is funded by a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
