Pan used for making a special version of bimuelos (a donut made traditionally by Sephardic Jews) at Passover using matzoh. This pan belonged to Rosa Miller, a Survivor from Salonika, Greece and had been used by several generations of her family. Rosa Modiano was born on December 4, 1929 in Salonika, Greece, from Italian father. On October 28, 1940, Italy attacked Greece. The family left Salonika and traveled to Athens, where they obtained false identity papers and rented a room in the country. Rosa’s father and brother fought with the Greek partisans, who were living in the mountains. After the British liberation, she married her husband, Sheldon Miller, an American who worked for the Public Health Service.
