Details
PANDEMIC AIRPLANE 2020 was created for a simultaneous exhibition in a different space. This is an update of the “PRESENT AIRPLANE”, the starting point of Katsuhiko Hibino’s career. This is an ambitious work of art with inspiration from the contemporary social situation. Of course, he uses his signature cardboard in this work. In addition, he uses the Japanese art material, Gofun, for coloring. He also dipped a dipping pen in sumi ink, which is primarily used to create manga drawings. In this way, the traditional Japanese art techniques are incorporated in the details.
