Prehistoric carved rock in Panorama Woods, N of Panorama Drive, Ilkley, West Yorkshire.
Referenced ‘IAG 232’ in Boughey & Vickerman’s 2003 publication ‘Prehistoric Rock Art of the West Riding’. CSI: Rombalds Moor Project recorded it ‘Panorama Wood 03’ on ERA, describing:
‘The carvings consist of 1 rectangular groove with rounded corners on the W side of the rock which encloses 4 cups, and a group of 19 cups of varying size which also contain a distinct cup and groove motif. Besides this motif there is an irregular shaped hollow which is almost certainly natural. To the W of this are 2 more natural hollows, 1 in the shape of a ‘hoof’ and an elongated oval. There are a further 5 cups scattered across the N half on the rock.’
