More model informationThis ornate metal pen holder is part of our collection of Midland Railway objects. The Midland Railway was a railway company from 1844 until 1922 when it became part of the London, Midland and Scottish Railway. It became the third largest railway company in the UK managed from its headquarters in Derby.
Like many Midland Railway objects, this pen holder has its own serial number, 4118. This number would have been used to help the company keep track of all the items they owned, from large items right down to pen holders such as this one.
