Pen-y-bryn (LB22900), Tal-y-sarn, Gwynedd3D ModelNoAI
In Februray 2025, Heneb Gwynedd Archaeology was grant aided by Cadw to undertake a combined laser scan and UAS photogrammetry survey of the ruinous late 17th Century Pen-y-bryn farmhouse (Grade II Listed Building LB22900; HGA PRN 64687). The farmhouse is located at the former Dorothea Quarry, Tal-y-sarn, Gwynedd within the Slate Landscape of Northwest Wales World Heritage Site, Component Part 3: Nantlle Valley Slate Quarry Landscape. The survey has resulted in the generation of this scaled photgrammetric 3D model of the building, a scaled CAD plan of its ground floor and a series of scaled orthomosaic photographs that record the detail of the roof of the farmhouse in plan along with all external elevations. The survey was undertaken in order to generate an accurate survey record of the structure to inform management strategies and to serve as a baseline record for condition monitoring.
