More model informationDuring infection with the murine filarial parasite Litosomoides sigmodontis, a specific population of lung macrophages increase in perivascular spaces in the presence of the parasite offspring (microfilariae). The image was produced with a confocal microscope and shows blood vasculature in red (CD31), nuclei on blue (DAPI) and macrophages (CD169).
