More model information17 wide angle photos captured with a Canon 100D (10-18mm lens, all captured at 10mm).
Processed in 3DF Zephyr, Agisoft Metashape, and RealityCapture.
Of the 3, Agisoft did not fare well during SfM, returning an alignment that was warped (due to the software not accounting for the wide angle lens no doubt).
In each case, MVS was performed with 50% resolution depth maps (3DF ‘High’‘, Agisoft ‘High’, RealityCapture ‘Normal’). Then the resulting mesh was decimated to 100k faces and then smoothed. (In addition, for RealityCapture the largest triangles were deleted prior to the 2 previous steps.)
In retrospect, and examining the meshes under Matcap view, may have overdone it with smoothing for 3DF Zephyr.
