In 1895, the lawyer Hans Gross (1847-1915) opened a collection consisting of “corpora delicti” as the “Criminal Museum at the Regional Court for Criminal Matters” in Graz.
The collection conatains weapons, projectiles and poisonous substances, animal and human preparations (e.g. crushed bones and traces of blood) and also a lot of plaster cast like the model you see here.

The orignial Material of the reprinted keys is plaster.
