We were tasked with creating a short animation for a fictional game. My group chose to create a game trailer and one of my responsibilites was creating characters for the animation. I gained a better understanding of the character creation pipeline from concept art to modelling, texturing and animation. Working on characters with multiple texture maps taught me to be conservative with texture space, and I learned to animate using cloth physics for the character’s poncho.
Modelled with 3ds Max and textured in Substance Painter.
