More model informationThe stone was discovered in the Churingas’ cave of Kamyana Mohyla* during the 1973 field season. V. Danilenko, who discovered the cave and the portable art collection, considered this object to represent the Upper Paleolithic worldview at the site. He added the black pastel coal depictions of what we thought was engraved on the stone surface to emphasize his ideas. The real attribution remains a subject of further investigation.
*The site is currently endangered by russian occupation in the region.
