This project features a stylized 3D Postman Character created as part of a full 3D character workflow. The process began with modeling in Autodesk Maya, where I focused on creating clean topology and a well-balanced character design with attention to proportions and silhouette.
After modeling, I moved into Substance 3D Painter for detailed texturing. I utilized a PBR workflow to give realistic fabric materials, leather textures for the bag, and subtle weathering to reflect the character’s daily routine and environment. Special attention was given to achieving a believable balance of stylization and realism through layered texturing and smart masks.
Finally, I imported the textured character into Blender for lookdev, lighting, and rendering. Using Blender’s Cycles renderer, I set up an environment that complemented the character’s narrative. I focused on creating a warm and slightly nostalgic lighting setup to match the tone of a hardworking, everyday hero—the postman
