Vítězslav Hájek, is considered the founder of modern Czech poetry.
The ceremonial unveiling of the Hálek Memorial took place on 14 May 1882. The poet’s bronze bust is placed above the fountain with a lion’s head like a gargoyle. On the lyre below the bust there is a laurel wreath, on the sides are allegories of Comedy and Tragedy . The sides are decorated with a fountain decorated with sphinxes. The sculptor Bohuslav Schnirch (1845–1901). Photogrammetry scan.
