More model informationThe Predjama Fault is one of Slovenia’s largest active faults. It is a NW-SE trending, right-lateral strike-slip fault. In this abandoned quarry, slickensides testify to the horizontal motion of the fault blocks. A wide shear zone has formed, in which the solid limestones have been crushed into smallest pieces by repeated fault motion.
