The President’s bedchamber reflects the interior art of the Carolingian Baroque. The walls are clad with so-called Dutch fabric wallpaper from the early 1700 century, patterned in gold and a darkened red color. The green, relief-decorated tiled stove (from Jakobsberg in Södermanland) is typical of the time around 1700. And the distempered roof, which is in its original place, was probably added in connection with the house’s completion in the 1690s. None of the furniture originates from Skogaholm.
In the president’s antechamber, the walls are covered with oilcloth wallpaper in various shades of green, imitating silk damask. The wallpaper originates from Sjösa manor in Södermanland and was made in Stockholm in the early 18th century. The ceiling, on the other hand, is made for Skogaholm, although originally placed in another room.
