Ben Baaske, PhD, with the TAMU Center for Heritage Conservation and I ran this test on piece of limestone tile. We used Alex Badillo’s Marker pallettes, mounted to a turntable provided by Acacia Originals. I captured (6) 360-degree rotations with a DSLR and imported the photos into Agisoft’s Metashape as individual chunks. I decided to only use two of them. I successfully aligned two Chunks, first using manually placed points. The merging of the two halves (a top and bottom) was straightforward with batch processing.
