on July 3rd, 2:58 PM, EST, on the year of 1969, the Pennsylvannia Railroad Class Experimental 1, or simply known as the “E1”, rolled out to service from the Pennsylvannia Railroad sheds. The locomotive had a very unique wheelset, that particularily being a 6-6-6-12 wheelset. Development of the train began on December 20th, 2:12 AM, EST, of 1963. It was supposedly to be designed as a competitor of the British steam locomotive A4 “Mallard”. It was also designed to be a luxury passenger locomotive, meant to travel for higher class passengers, but later on allowed cheaper classed passengers to travel on the Locomotive. The locomotive at max speed could go at speeds of 169.9 m/ph, but was regulated to travel 124.3 m/ph.
On July 4th, 12:45 PM, EST, of 1972 or 1975 (exact year is currently unknown) The passenger locomotive acheived a speed of 132-135 m/ph. The front pony truck’s second wheel to the left of the middle axle gave up due to fatigue, and the train took a curve and flew off the tracks, causing a crash…
