More model informationRenowned Baltimore sculptor Hans Schuler (1847-1951) created the enormous relief for this monument honoring the Revolutionary war general Casimir Pulaski. The monument took over 17 years to create and was finally dedicated in Patterson Park just months after the sculptor had died in 1951. The Second World War had created metal shortages around the country and the price of bronze had skyrocketed, exceeding the funds that were initally raised for erecting the monument.
