Church of the Third Order of Our Lady of Monte do Carmo ( Igreja da Ordem Terceira de Nossa Senhora do Monte do Carmo) is one of the most important historical monuments in the Algarve region. It was founded in 1713 by Bishop D. António Pereira da Silva, inside the 17th century fence. Father Frei Manuel da Conceição was responsible for the design of the initial church, where the Third Order of Our Lady of Monte do Carmo was established. This piece is very well preserved, with is figurine holding the base of the rest of the support, it extends throught the movement of the leaf shaped forms. There were so many little pieces like this that i would capture, but my time is limited unfortunately. The colors and the shape go really well together.
Was really fun to capture this piece of cultural heritage in my local area.
