Needs a proper shoulder stock to operate lever action. Trigger that needs to be pushed like that isn't convenient and would cause numerous accidental shots. Bayonet is interesting feature, many would doubt it's functionality and utility, also it's rear part can hurt shooter's hand, and relatively short lever means this isn't very powerful crossbow. Other than that, this is brilliant concept and could be perfectly possible to be crafted a thousand or even two thousands year ago or more, so strange that it wasn't.
I also think there is some technical aspects that aren't shown in the model:
*How arrows are held in that magazine(prevented from falling away while loading)
*Feeding system is rather strange, string moves above the arrow so there is probably some hinged catch that above arrow while cocking the weapon and in the end of travel lowers down to be able to push the arrow.
Probably some more minor issues that can surely be dealt with. Joerg Sprave actually made something like this, wuite different mechanically but a repeating crossbows anyway, though you concept looks better : D
Has anyone actually made this thing in wood and metal?

Hey! I was wanting to get this model, and saw there was another sketchfab model with this. Would I purchase this, orrr...?
My only thought is there's no tension on the bow to actually fire the bolts. Otherwise, it's a very cool design!
