The project consists on creating a 39 ha Mediterranean forest reserve with minimal ecological impact where they can rescue, rehabilitate and care for more than 250 wildlife animals. In this reserve, Fundacion Reserva Wild Forest can raise environmental awareness by conducting sessions every Saturday in 1 ha of the reserve and investigate the impact of captivity on wildlife and main causes of entry.
The reserve’s wildlife, as game animals, when they are in a situation of danger or neglect, such as being run over, injured, or abandoned, they do not receive governmental help for their rehabilitation and care.
In many cases, game fauna suffers from speciesism and is perceived by society as a pest or a problem, so that people themselves are also a threat to these species.
The wildlife found in this reserve includes fox, wild boar, iberian deer, fallow deer, roe deer and mouflon.
