El altar mayor de la Iglesia de San Miguel en Murcia es una obra en madera que fue construida en el segundo tercio del siglo XVIII. El retablo se estructura con un solo cuerpo de tres calles, -la central más amplia que las laterales, y un arco en el ático. Se hizo según proyecto de Jacinto Perales, cuyo reconocimiento venía avalado por diferentes encargos en localidades el Sureste español. Las esculturas fueron creadas por Francisco Salzillo (Murcia, 1707–1783), importante escultor de Murcia, excepto la imagen del San Miguel, que fue realizada por su padre, Nicolás Salzillo (Capua, 1672–Murcia, 1727) en 1708–1709.
