A road safety lamp made by Chalwyn lamps limited in the 1960’s. Chalwyn originally made hurrican lamps for the militory and tropic areas. But due to changing maket conditions and the use of the hurricane lamp from the 40’s to 60’s needed a change in direction. They can be picked up on ebay for small sums of money. But they also make excellent bases for restoration if the patina and condition warrents such a task.
