More model informationThe kodai–foot–has been kept ‘simple’ on this Setsu Junji chawan due to the sweeping motion of the motifs seen on the chawan’s exterior. Black ‘smoke’ or ‘ink’ flows over the faceted form and creates a hanging scroll landscape of flowing clouds over the white-slip body; some may even see a dragon. Setsu has been labeled the new Oribe for his revolutionary way of chawan perception and execution. See more at the Robert Yellin Yakimono Gallery: http://japanesepottery.com/
