More model informationRock Eagle is a massive geoglyph in Putnam County Georgia. It is thought to be about 2,000 years old. Surprisingly little is known about the mound and its origins. An archaeological excavation in the 1950s yeilded little beyond the mound’s probable age. The effigy is 102 feet from head to tail and 120 feet from wingtip to wingtip.
