More model informationA near complete Roman Brooch found in Oxfordshire. Bayley & Butcher (2004: 159) note that the method of pin attachment seen on this example is characteristic of Polden Hill brooches. A very similar example would be Hattat (2000: 300, figure 159, no. 26) described as a Polden Hill type brooch. Within MacKreth’s (2011) corpus it is most similar to No. 1588 (MacKreth 2011: 49, Pl. 46) which he classifies as a type 3.d.
