More model informationIs considered to belonged to Nader (or Nodir) Shah Ashfar, one of the most powerful Iranian rulers and warlords in Iranian history, ruling as Shah of Iran (Persia) from 1736 to 1747. During his Dagestan campaign that became last for him, Nader Shah army was defeated by local Dagestani troops who took the sabre as a trophy. The sabre resembles of the legendary zulfikar sword that belonged to Muhammad the Prophet, and has two blades so that to deliver terrible injuries. Has a lot of fine workmanship, its handle is decorated with ivory. Is stored in the museum of Kubachi Art Combine, several times stolen from there and everytime returned to the collection.
