STELE India, 18th century

“Sandtone stele, known as a Sati (or Suttee) stone, memorials to Indian windows found all over India. Acquired by Charles Stuart at Bhilsa and later in the India Museum, from where it passed to the British Museum.”

More info here: http://www.britishmuseum.org/research/collection_online/collection_object_details.aspx?objectId=179846&partId=1

*I didn’t really take any photos of the base so the plinth area on the mesh wasn’t complete and the texture was all mixed up with the robe barrier. Hope to have a go at remodelling that.
