From the collections of the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History. The vessel is metal with a blue and white glaze. There are several spots where the glaze has been chipped or banged off, revealing that the can was probably used regularly prior to its being acquired by the museum. I think that it dates to the early 20th century, but will verify.
