Jeroni Contijoc (1560-1593). Tomb located in the chapter house of the monastery of Santes Creus, Catalonia. He was one of the most important abbots of the monastery. He had the Assumption Chapel and the Tower of the Hours built. He moved the Abbey Palace to the square, incorporated various possessions into the monastery and significantly beautified the entire site. His marble lauda draws attention to the sculptural work we see on the embroidered miter. Unfortunately, almost the entire part of the chest has been lost, but it is easy to see that he wore the abbatial habit, miter and staff, leaning, this time, on his left shoulder. The pillow also has no ornaments and we find the family coat of arms between our feet again. The registration has been preserved in its entirety. Source: patrimonifunerari.cat
