More model informationBernardí Tolrà (1519-1534). Tomb located in the chapter house of the monastery of Santes Creus, Catalonia. He improved and beautified the Abbey Palace in Renaissance style, which occupied the space of the old Royal Palace. His tomb stands out because he is the only abbot represented in the habit of a monk and a bonnet, as the others wear abbatial and miter habits. As a common feature, we observe the staff, a symbol of its power. The head, tilted to the right, rests on a pillow and seems to observe the staff as it rests on the right shoulder. Hands are covered by habit. Source: patrimonifunerari.cat
