Sarcophagus tombs, usually for a single deposition, used from the 6th century BCE. Similar to sarcophagi, also without the the elaborate decorations usually associated with the idea of etruscan sarcophagi, but not contained inside other structures. Most of them is built using the local “pietra panchina”, a kind of sandstone.
