More model informationThe scan of the Sassanid Empire Relief Fragment (1983.012.430) from the Sassanid Empire from the Grinnell College Museum of Art was made on 04/11/2024 at Grinnell College. Scanning was accomplished with the Creaform Academia 50 handheld 3D scanner and edited in VXelements and VXModel 10 with minor texture map editing and converting done in GIMP. Unknown Persian. 5th Century BCE. Stucco. Excavated at Chāleh Ţarkhān in the late 1930s by Erich Schmidt of the University of Pennsylvania’s Penn Museum. The boar heads on the fragment depict the Indo-Iranian deity of Verethragna or Bahram. Gift of Nanette Rodney Kelekian.
