Pottendorf Castle Chapel was probably built at the same time as the moated castle, at the beginning of the 11th century. The initially detached chapel has a three-aisled nave, a narrow room with a tower above and a pentagonal choir. To the right and left of the tower square are the sacristy and the vestment room, as well as the tower staircase. In the 16th/17th century, an extension was added to provide direct access from the castle.
