More model informationThis three pointed sculpted stone was discovered in Quoyness chambered tomb, Els Ness, Sanday, Orkney during excavations by James Farrer and George Petrie in 1867. It is manufactured from a fine-grained micaceous siltstone and the surface has been finely ground to shape. This artefact was donated to the National Museum in 1868.
