Alan Chumak was popular on USSR’s single TV channel in the late 80s. His pefromance routine was quite simple: just looking at camera with constipated face and making magical passes with his hands. This mysterios act supposed to charge with healing power water near the TV’s. So viewers with “the best education in world” (self described) rushed homes from their development bureaus to put some fresh water in a glass jar so mr. Chumak can perfom a miracle and convert it into an ultimate healing substance. That’s why I depiced this image: a loose approximation of how Chumak had seen himself during this act for whole decade until his show was banned. Obviously inspired by Dr. Manhattan. P. S.
