More model informationThe exterior of Romsey Abbey is covered with many decorated corbels and other interesting sculptures including a sheela-na-gig. The present abbey building dates from about 1120 and features excellent examples of the Norman arch.
The sheela-na-gig figure holds a crooked staff which has been interpreted as a crozier.
