More model informationThe coastal steamer Manasoo was a 180 ft steel hulled ship that serviced the Georgian Bay area. Originally named the Macassa its second name was an amalgamation of two of its destinations Manitoulin Island and Soo Ste Marie. It sank in a storm in 1928 with the loss of sixteen of the twenty-one passengers and crew on board along with over 100 head of cattle. Five were rescued from a life raft by the steamer Manitoba. The model was done by Jerry Eliason using 3DZephyr. Images were shot using a drop camera. Passes were made across the wreck from port to starboard so the starboard side of the model is mostly missing.
