The scow schooner Silver Lake was sunk in a collision with car ferry Pere Marquette in 1900. It is possibly the best representation of a this relatively lightly built type of ship in the Great Lakes. What makes it even more rare is it may also be the only example of a scow schooner with double centerboards. It sits upright in 210’ of water off Sheboygan, Wisconsin in Lake Michigan. The source for the photogrammetry model was HD video of the site taken in 2009 not intended for a model but just to document the site. Building a model is easier with 100’+ of visibility.
