More model informationTet-type DORV remedied with a RmBT shunt. Blood from the lungs is oxygenated (red) and returns to the left atrium. Blood from the body is de-oxygenated (blue) and returns to the right atrium. Because there is pulmonary atresia and because the aorta is over-riding the right ventricle, blue and red blood streams are ejected out the aorta - a combined cardiac output - and become a mixed, partially oxygenated (purple) stream. Some of this blood is diverted to the lungs via the shunt for oxygenation (the ductus arteriousus has been ligated and divided) and the rest of the blood perfuses the brain and body.
