Skull and Headgear from the Bronze Age3D Model
3D scan of a skull from the Franzhausen Cemetery in Lower Austria, from the Early Bronze Age, ca. 2,000 BC. The grave of a rich woman was equipped with numerous bronze grave goods. The green colour of the skull indicates the bronze objects that were buried with the woman in the area around the head. The headgear comes from Hafnerbach (Traisen Valley, Lower Austria) and was donated to the NHM Vienna by the town Hafnerbach on the occasion of the reopening of the Prehistoric Exhibition in September 2015.
This skull and the headgear are number 32 of the NHM Top 100 can be found in Hall 11.
