Sleeping Nymph

This model is based on a sculpture depicting a sleeping nymph. The work likely formed part of a decorative nymphaeum in the schola of the collegium fabrum of Tarraco. Water would have flowed from the mouth of the vessel held by the nymph. The original is made of white marble and dates to the 2nd century AD, currently housed in the Archaeological Museum of Tarragona.
