At Hi-Rez, we decided to give ol’ Poseidon a make-over. It was time– as he was one of the first Gods of the original release of SMITE. I was very fortunate to get to work on this skin. He was passed around to other artists in the pipeline to make sure he fit to the Old version’s rig. My main job was to retopologize, texture and get his new body mesh into Unreal 3. I was, however, able to clean up the sculpt and finalize it for texture generation. Base-meshed in Max, Sculpted in Zbrush, Textured in Substance Painter 2 and Photoshop.
