More model informationClear Point near Pebbly Beach marks the base of the early Permian Snapper Point Formation. The Pebbley Beach Formation underlies this and crops out to the south of this point (left in initial view). The Snapper Point Formation is a shallow marine (inner shelf) deposit comprising sandstones and mudstones. The outcrop at Clear Point has a layer of course sandstone with abundant Eurydesma hobartense fossils that are mostly still conjoined but in horizontal orientation (‘near-life’ position). Large wave ripples (metre scale) are also abundant and are visible in this model.
