Possible carving on Snook Bank, north of Longframlington, Northumberland.
Snook Bank is an area rich in archaeological remains from prehistory through to fairly modern times when millstones were extracted. This boulder was found by Team 2 during NADRAP recording and was added to ERA as ‘Snook Bank N01’ in 2008. Not exactly a ringing endorsement of artificiality by NADRAP Team 2 describing the motifs as:
“One shallow cup about 8 cm diameter in bedding planes at apex of rock and probably natural. Other small holes probably due to erosion also.”
