More model informationA bronze socketed hammer, ewhich was found on the floor of a Middle Bronze Age (c. 1500-1000 BCE) sunken roundhouse during excavations as part of the A30 Chiverton to Carland Cross Road Upgrade project.
The Bronze hammer had a square socket. The working end of the hammer exhibited extensive use wear, indicative of a hafted item being used for repeated impact type work.
