Section 16/20: The South Enclosure Wall of the Western High Gate of Medinet Habu.

By the medieval period, the precinct of Medinet Habu had evolved into a Coptic town called Djeme. The standing mud-brick walls that can be seen in this section of the model belong to this later occupation of the site. These Coptic houses were built on top of the pharaonic-era enclosure wall.
